Foster Crowned Formula Ford Festival Champion

news image Rising motor racing star, Joey Foster was crowned the worthy champion of the 2003 Formula Ford Festival Champion successfully winning three compelling races at Brands Hatch ensuring he secured this years prestigious title.

Foster, 20, joins the roll of honours for this championship which include former Formula One drivers Johnny Herbert, Eddie Irvine, Jan Magnussen and current Formula One contenders Mark Webber and Jenson Button.

The Castle Donington based driver safely took pole position then fought solidly for Team Continental to defend off the fellow opposition ensuring he convincingly dominated the gripping festival final taking the chequered flag ahead of the Williams F1 test driver, Marko Asmer and newly crowned national series champion Tom Kimber-Smith.

In addition to being crowed the 32nd festival champion, Foster also accumulated creditable awards for driver of the series, providing the fastest lap set by an British competitor, along with the valuable contribution made to ensure the England team won the world cup ahead of the Baltic's.

Progressing his motor racing career, Joey Foster will now contend the Formula Renault Winter Series at Donington Park on October 25th/26th.
