Nurburgring weekend: a deserving result!
07.09.2008 by Joey Foster
The Nurburgring holds some great memories for me as it was the place I took a couple of Formula 3 wins at the start of the 2006 season. My return to the track last weekend with the Embassy racing team would only add to them. Driving WF01 alongside Darren Manning we managed to score a solid 4th place which proved a long overdue result for the whole of the Embassy team.
The other car of Warren Hughes and Jonny Kane finished in a strong 7th place after some mechanical issues early on in the 1000 km race.
It’s great for us to finally realise the results we knew we were capable of. It has seemed such a long time coming after all of the bad luck so far this season. I have a feeling a podium is not so far away if we keep improving as we are.
Silverstone is next and it would be really great to be pushing for a podium during our home race weekend. We showed some good pace there in a test day earlier in the year and we have come a long way since then so I am sure it will be possible.
I am really looking forward to seeing family, friends and everybody else who has supported the team and myself at Silverstone on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of September.
